The Barbiecore trend is the hottest trend of summer 2022!! It is all about bright and dazzling pinks. The colour Pink is the signature colour amongst many celebrities right now such as Kim K, Megan Fox and Ann Hathaway amongst others that are embracing this trend- not just Barbie (Margot Robbie).
The Barbiecore trend is taking hold of the fashion and celeb world, so we will expect to see more pink on the runways (like Valentino did), as well as the red carpet and also in your local high street shops.
The question is- How to wear this trend?
If you want to incorporate the trend into your own style, it’s as easy as adding a pop of hot pink and a bit of sparkle. The Barbiecore trend is not just limited to makeup or clothes. It can be used in a lot of different ways – clothes, handbags, shoes, accessories, your hair colour, makeup, nails, and even the colour of your car or front door. Just think think Reese Witherspoon and Paris Hilton for inspo!
But as I am a makeup artist I obviously think about Barbiecore in terms of Makeup so here is my recommendation for this trend.
Vibrant colours looks are always best paired with clean and fresh makeup and hair style.
So think either a pop of colour on the cheeks or lips. I like ELF Cosmestics cream putty Blush in the colour Bora Bora- this putty blush is super easy to blend and adds just the right amount of pink to the apples of your cheeks.
Another of my favourite pink blush is by Nars the colour MATA HARI . It is a cool shade of pink. I have used this colour for many many years and is one of my go to's.
If you are brave enough the colour COEUR BATTANT is a Bright Cool Fuchsia pink which can be applied either lightly or more bold.
A pretty pink lip is also easy to wear with just a slick of mascara. I like MAC Captive

For something a bit brighter you can go with MAC Superstar Kiss It Twice Powder Liquid Duo Pink.
For a bit of pink and sparkle on your eyes this cream shadow of Bobbi Brown is a must! So simple to apply and looks super pretty.
An easy way to incorporate this trend is with Nail polishes. OPI PINK BIG is the right amount of pink and sparkle to embrace this trend.
